It’s not that common to play consecutive par fives (although Victoria Golf Club uniquely finished both nines with twin fives) but importantly the two play quite differently. Not only do they run in different directions, but the 16th plays as a legitimate three shot hole with very few capable of reaching the green in two. – Mike Cocking (Course Architect)
